BENEFITS OF TEA
 
People around the world  know of the benefits of drinking tea.
 
Tea without milk has no calories.  Black tea has only on average 40mg caffeine compared to freshly brewed coffee which has on average 85 mg.
 
Add a slice of lemon to your green tea, as citrus juice increases the absorption of its antioxidants. 
 
Real tea  mostly comes from the leaves and buds of the Camellia sinensis plant.
 
All teas, however, contain antioxidant properties "polyphenols", which assist our bodies to protect ourselves from free-radical damage.  It can also help to protect us from heart disease, some cancers and help to lower cholesterol. 
 
More and more medical research is being undertaken and readily available on the internet.
